Title: The World of Vitamins
Join members and friends of Chicago Section IFT as we welcome Steven Watts, Partner at Prinova Group as he speaks about "The World of Vitamins." Mr. Watts is a partner in Prinova Group - a family company headquartered in Chicago which will have annual global sales revenues of approximately $700 million in 2014. The company is focused on being a global supplier of ingredients, flavors and blends to the food, flavor, nutrition, beverage and dietary supplement markets. Mr. Watts is also Global Product Manager for Prinova's business in Water soluble Vitamins and they are the leading distributor in the world for this product range.

Speaker: Steve Watts, Partner – Prinova
The presentation will define what is meant by the term Vitamin and outline the types of recognized Vitamins – both water soluble and fat soluble. An outline of where Vitamins can be found in nature is then given along with the human nutritional benefits of each Vitamin.
A timeline is then given in the major events of synthetic Vitamin production and an insight is given into how and why a large share of the world’s Vitamin production has moved from West to East .This is then followed by a look at the global single ingredient Vitamin market today with particular emphasis on USA consumption.
An outline of what trends we see occurring in the Vitamin market today is then given which leads on to how Prinova is adapting its business model to cope with these changes.
