Important COVID-19 Information

We wish to thank you for your support of Chicago Section IFT as we work diligently to provide each exhibiting company an exceptional Expo experience in November given the current uncertainty.

We are dependent upon may variables in our planning efforts – primarily if Illinois will allow conventions as well as the ability/willingness of exhibitors to travel to Chicago. Given these variables, CSIFT leadership is currently reviewing possible virtual formats for the CSIFT 2020 Expo as a contingency plan if we are unable to meet in person due to COVID-19 restrictions. Either way the event will take place, but the decision of whether the event will be held virtually or in person will be determined in late August or early September.

All of the impacts to costs will be shared once we determine if we go virtual and if so which platform is chosen along with the associated costs to purchase. This is why we are waiting until after the IFT Expo to make any further decisions regarding cost. All cost options will be shared once we make a decision on our way forward.

The income from the expo represents the entire income to run the Section annually. All of our other events are subsidized from the proceeds of this one event so it is very important that the Section provides a quality experience whether virtual or in person. We expect that a virtual event might actually bring in more attendees as attendance is free and not limited to those in the Chicago region. Remember, each exhibiting company receives the full attendee list.

No matter which platform we choose, it will include the following benefits:

  1. Ability to build a “booth” complete with company description, etc., - same as what is currently in place – but also the ability to post brochures, company flyers, catalogs and a video.
  2. Ability to meet with attendees in your “booth” both publically and privately. There is no limit to the number of company representatives that can work in the virtual booth.
  3. Ability to privately “talk” with individual attendees via chat – hopefully with camera sharing. This is dependent upon the platform chosen.
  4. You receive a list of everyone you’ve chatted with along with the exact text of the written chat.
  5. Ability to invite attendees to come to your booth via the networking “room”.
  6. Ability to share ‘business cards’ as you tour the expo “hall”.
  7. Expo time will be longer than the 5 hours usually scheduled – allowing for you to reach more people than in the in person event. The exact hours will be determined – may be more than one day as well, allowing you to connect with attendees over a longer timeframe.

We appreciate your patience as we continue to plan for an in person event as well as for a virtual event.

Beware of exposition services scam. The only exhibitor services providing support to our event is the Rosemont Exposition Services (RES) as documented in the Exhibitor Kit. Do not use anyone outside of RES for the CSIFT Suppliers’ Expo.

Social Hour
Finish out the day with a flourish by sharing drinks and a variety of tasty Hors D'oeuvre with industry friends and associates, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.

Registration opens for anyone to register beginning December 17, 2019. Registrations received after October 1, 2020 will not be included in the exhibitor guide - but will be included in the supplement.

The Chicago Section IFT will provide a 10’x10’ pipe and drape booth area with two 4’ draped tables, two chairs, waste basket, and a standard booth sign.

Refund Policy
$400.00 refundable prior to March 31, 2020
$200.00 refundable prior to June 31, 2020
No refunds after July 1, 2020. No Exceptions!
There is a limit of no more than 2 companies per booth.

How to Register Online
  1. View the map by clicking on the registration link:
    > Suppliers' Expo 2020 Registration
  2. Booths that are "green" are available. Booths that are "red" are already sold. Booths that are "blue" are in process of being reserved. Other color pins are Sponsors of the Expo.
  3. Booths are held for 20 minutes and will be released if registration is not completed at the end of 20 minutes.
  4. Click the pin of the booth you want to register. If you are registering multiple booths start with one booth and you'll be asked to add additional booths during the registration process.
  5. You will need to read and accept the payment terms to complete the booth registration.
  6. If you accidentally exit the registration page you can continue registration by reloading the booth map and there will be a green "Continue Registration" area shown.
  7. You can also order electricity and extra tables in the payment system.
  8. You will need to provide the following information:
    1. # of booths
    2. Booth number(s)
    3. Company name, address, phone, and url
    4. Company contact name, title, and email (to be listed in the exhibitor guide)
    5. Exhibitor contact information (who we should contact with SN 2021 info.)
    6. 50 word company description
    7. Product or service category (choose from list)
